Description
The candidate we seek will be responsible for HTML/CSS integration of various parts of a web site or web application and the installation and configuration of content management and electronic commerce systems. The web integrator will also be asked to ensure the correct deployment and evolution of complex web solutions.
Responsibilities
We seek someone who is dynamic, motivated and autonomous. The web integrator will work with our designers, developers, project coordinators, clients, suppliers and business partners. He will be asked to communicate regularly with their colleagues to ensure that objectives are met, as well as to make technological recommendations to the project teams. Finally, he will ensure that our web projects conform to appropriate standards.
Responsibilities of the web integrator may be modified according to need.
Training and professional experience
- Bachelor’s in information technology, DEC in multimedia integration or equivalent experience
- One year experience in a comparable role in a web agency or information technology firm
- Mastery of website development process
Competencies and qualities sought
- HTML/CSS programming skills
- Very good understanding of the installation and configuration of at least one of the following web technologies: Drupal, Magento, WordPress, Ruby on Rails and SilverStripe
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage priorities effectively
- Ability to adapt to a fast-moving and rapidly changing work environment
- Excellent communication abilities
Assets
- Knowledge of JavaScript and PHP and Ruby
- Knowledge of Blueprint CSS framework
- Knowledge of Linux and MySQL database administration
- Mastery of W3C and accessibility standards
- Bilingualism (French and English, spoken and written)
